Woman's uniform
Hello,
I would like to ask you for help. A few years ago I bought a woman's uniform visible on the pictures attached. I would like to supplement this uniform with missing regimental elements, e.g. buttons, headgear, shoes, etc. I would be very grateful if you could help me by giving me advice on how to rebuild the uniform of one of the regiments on the basis of this uniform. Women's uniform
It does not strike me as being British. Are there any maker's labels inside that might give a clue as to origin?
Stephen.

As it's a FAD jacket you can add any badges or buttons you like as FAD uniform is standard for the vast majority of cap badges.

F A D is Future Army Dress so would be worn by all female members of the British Army in what ever unit they were serving.

In regiments, is women's headwear different from men's headgear?

It depends. In regiments/corps that wear only the beret then no. In all the others then yes.

Do females now wear the same cap as males? They no longer wear their own similar but narrower version of the forage cap?

Yes they do still wear a different cap
Examples here of both at the Army Foundation Collage Graduation day https://www.timhardy.co.uk/blog/file...on_Parade.html Both the caps are 'Caps Royal' Male & Female |
