WAR DECLARED MEDALLION

Evening all,
I thought I would post this medallion for general interest. I don't know if any of you have one of these in your collection, but I had certainly not seen one before, or have seen one since ( I bought it in 2014) The medallion is struck in bronze and is about the size of a 2p coin. I know that one struck in gold is in a collection at some institute in London, but that's it.

Perhaps it's quite common? But I don't think so.

Any info / opinions welcome.
