Default Royal Navy 'badge'

Hi All,

I've actually already put this request in the other websites area .... but just in case I got it wrong as usual ...

I am after a scanned image of the ROYAL NAVY badge that was used prior to the blue square that is used today with the Ensign in the top half and ROYAL NAVY underneath.

I know that blue thing wasn't used in World War 2!

I'm only after a scanned image as my project only deals with scanned images - but if anyone could help, I would be VERY grateful.

.... and if I am repeating myself here ..... I'll go stand in the corner!

Many thanks - as always

+ Anthony

Hi All,

I wrote (after Paddy's suggestion!) to the Royal Navy Museum.... Well won't THAT teach me not to ask someone earlier! I got the image I was looking for - so thanks for all the help.

Default The Admiralty Image

Hi Tony,

This is the image I was sent by the museum.

Originally I thought it would look something akin to the Petty Officer's Cap Badge (anchor surrounded by rope chord beneath a crown) - but this is the one.

However, they also say that the Naval Crown is in fact still accurate to represent the Royal Navy.

All the best,

+ Anthony
