Default London Reserve Regt - Guards Division.

The London Regiment, Guards Division / G Company.

Do respective A, D and F Companies wear their respective cap badges or do they all wear The London Regiment, Guards Division cap badge??

A Company (London Scottish).
D Company (London Irish Rifles).
F Company (Rifles).

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Yes, they wear their own badges (cap and collar).

What Tactical Recognition Flashes (TRFs) are worn by A, D and F companies?

I believe G (Guards) Company wear the Guards blue/red/blue TRF.

Guards Blue Red Blue is worn by all, as they are a single regiment and recognized as the Reserve Battalion for the Guards. Worn right arm, London District left arm.

It would be nice if perhaps an outline or backing of Hodden Grey for the London Scottish, or a thistle worn in the centre, same for the London Irish with a shamrock would be really striking and Rifle Green backing for the Rifles. Just my opinion.

Default London Regiment

Clay,
Many Thanks. I think all companies wear on No2 Dress the white on red LONDON REGIMENT embroidered cloth shoulder title.

An interesting thread.
Are G Company classed as Household troops?

Tim,

Yes they do.

Chris,

Ex Guardsmen are the target demographic for G Company.

Hello Tim,

Yes all companies wear this title.

Chris,

The target demographic is for ex Guardsmen to fill the ranks of G Company. I would assume they would be considered part of the Household Division/Household troops because they are currently roled as the Guards reserve battalion, and the affiliation carries over because of G Company I hope that makes sense. The HAC also wear Guards colours because of their historical
lineage and I think the threads make a solid case.
