Passing on the collection
There should be a big box outside the Soylent Green factory for old farts to deposit their collections before they go in for processing.

Spoilt and self centred. Gimme gimme gimme; I want it all and I want it now! The Snowflake Generation, eh? More selfish, greedy, self entitled and aware of their privileges and rights than any generation in history.

Funny thing but when I was a young collector I couldn't talk to enough 'old farts' to pick their brains about the subject. Keith

The future
At least some of the youngsters show interest, their avarice I hope is matched by their ability to buy good militaria.

So who is the oldest old-fart around here. I am 83 and doubt if I am the oldest one.

Well, I've just turned 45 and I reckon I've still got a good few years of collecting in me
Always happy to help young collectors but they need to realise it's a...collection!! It does take years to build it up, if you could just go and buy a collection off the shelf, what's the point...? |

I'm 45. I thought I'd give it a year or two then pack it in, as I'll be waaay over the hill by then.

Hi George, I am aiming for 120, so I am encouraged by you. I am currently 46, so one of the young guns here . Even now I love picking the brains of older guys as nothing tops experience. Regards Andrew

My reply would have been "listen son, I may look old but let me assure you that I have just got out of the bath....I've shrunk and that's why I look wrinkly!"
