Canadian Parachute Corps plastic
A plastic Canadian Parachute Corps badge is currently on offer on ebay. It shows a significant degree of distortion and damage. The damage is stragtegically located on the badge making it difficult to determine authenticity. Cavet emptor.

I bough such a badge a few years ago, in similar condition as the "original condition " photo in the link - & it had a break across it as well. No chew marks.
The badge was identified by people on this or another forum as being a different one so back it went. |

Canadina Parachute Corps Badge
Perhaps it is the rare version made of chocolate that could be eaten in an emergency situation.

Ken Joyce has concerns as well.
With the amount of damage on the badge, how would the pin have survived? It just isn't consistent with the visible evidence.

I take it that these badges snap because if you tread on them or whatever the sturdy lugs offer resistance unlike the British feeble flat sheet brass ones?
I think the only broken plastics I've ever seen have been Canadian Para ones ( repro ones). |

Reviewed Ken Joyce's description and images from Into the Maelstrom and the auction pin appears to be significantly different from the pin shown in the book.
