Cyclist Corps
Hope I found the right section for this question. I have recently purchased a trio of WWI medals to S/No. 289 Henry Ernest WALKLEY Army Cyclist Corps. He attested into the 20th Blackheath & Woolwich before going overseas with the 2nd London Divisional Cyclist Company. Subsequently posted to the Army Cyclist Corps. His papers are on Ancestry. Can anyone please tell me what cap badge he would have worn while serving with the 2nd London DCC please?

Hi Chay
I don't definitively know the answer, but I don't think there was a specialist 'cyclist' cap badge for 2nd Division cyclists. As they were attached to the Division, I would assume they wore cap badges from the regiment they came from, until, of course, he was transferred to the Cyclist corps, then their cap badge would have been worn. Tim, Thank you. I was trawling Ebay for a 20th Bn London. Looks like that will have to do until I find different. Kind regards, Chay
