Yes that's this one. This is the reason why I suspect "4/7RDG" brass shoulder titles only have been worn post war... Regards Normandie18 |

The brass ones were recorded as introduced in 1936 in the time of SD the cloth economy titles introduced ww2.with the Battle Dress. Along with the Black Beret and the practice of wearing Collar badges on the beret well documented in regimental photographs I have seen worn by all ranks.
Brass ones are recorded I will keep an eye peeled for photo evidence my friend something to do in these next 12 weeks. Regards Stephen |

Normandie 18 -Looking at 'Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles' by Ray Westlake he indicates the small 4/7RDG shoulder titles were worn by 'Officers, the RSM and Bandmaster'. These were either brass or later gold anodised finish.
As you can see from the picture the gold / anodised pair are quite small.
