Default SA Armour shoulder titles

I'm trying to find out why the SA Armour units have different colour shoulder titles. Some are white unit names embroidered on blue felt and others are blue unit names embroidered on orange felt.

Is this related to specific periods and if so which came first and when was the changeover. Or is it possibly related to Permanent Force units vs. Citizen Force units?

Here are the variations I have seen:

White on Blue Shoulder Title Arcs.
OPL REGT 1 SDB
1 SSB TRG REGT
1 S D B
1 S S B
2 S D B
2 S S B
SCHOOL of ARMOUR
PANTSERSKOOL

Blue on Orange Shoulder Title Arcs.
1 S D B
1 S S B
2 ARMD C REGT
2 PANT K REGT
2 S D B
2 S S B

All these units are/were PF. Looking at dates :

OPL REGT 1 SDB / 1 SSB TRG REGT
-- unit was called this from 1953 to 1967 (basic training unit for ballotees)
1 S D B / 1 S S B
-- unit was called this 1947-53 and again from 1967
2 S D B / 2 S S B
-- original unit existed 1947-50 (when it became 1 SAI); new unit formed 1973 (basic training unit for national servicemen)
SCHOOL of ARMOUR / PANTSERSKOOL
-- established 1965

2 ARMD C REGT / 2 PANT K REGT
-- existed 1962 to 1967 (basic training unit for ballotees)

Thanks Arthur,

Yes those dates tie up with what I have, so now the big question of colours (Blue/white vs. Orange/blue) still needs to be clarified. I'm sure someone has the answers.
