East Surrey Regiment Officer's KC Helmet Plate - seen better days

Hi all,

Someone has sadly messed around with this East Surrey Officer's KC post-1904 Helmet Plate (K&K 244). The original lugs on the helmet plate have been removed and long screw posts used to mount the helmet plate. Most of the gilt has been lots and the silver East Surrey centre piece is mounted on red felt rather than on black as it should be. The title scroll is East Surrey Regt which denotes post-1904.

Anyway it now has a place in my collection, cheers Dean.
