That interesting bullion and sequined badge may not be R. Berkshire as all the examples of officer dress collar badges I have seen are of a different design and have the feet on a ground.
Could it be an early officer forage cap badge? CB

Is the cord boss badge gilt or bronze Neil ? If its bronze it's on the wrong coloured boss.
Gilt goes on a red boss Bronze goes on a khaki boss with a red backing behind the badge . |

Thanks for that mike it is bronze so it must be on the wrong boss but that is how it was bought
