Shaped filed and pierced for suspension. 10mm x 17mm x 3.5gm. The tradition carried on well into the Victorian era, see pic below. |

Ancient bead date and origin unknown.
Spherical blue glass bead fused with a copper wire wrapped around that appears to have flecks of gold within. There are seven blue and white appendages measuring 9mm at the widest piont. The bead is held on a dental burr the head of which is 1mm. |

Silver trihemiobol? 0.98gm x 8mm Attic or Cyprotic standard? Ob: Head of roaring lion left forepart of leg below. Rev: Ornamental star/stellate pattern within an incuse square. Cf SNG Kayan 864. He was the first non-Persian to be appointed Satrap, and acted as Admiral of the Persian fleet against Evagoras of Cyprus. Also father to Mausolos famous for his tomb The Mausoleum. |

Doughnut shaped opaic glass bead with white line wrap around enclosing six purple/brown protuberances. 16mm x 8.4mm the central aperture 4.53 mm. Generally the larger the hole the older the bead but date unknown. |
