What regiment?
Hi, Does anyone know what regiment this cap belongs to? It has signs of a three bladed badge being worn at sometime. Thanks in advance Mike

King's Royal Rifle Corps? Looks like it had a cap badge on the side at one time.... with three loops?

Hi Mike,
The buttons appear to be very similar to no 561 in Howard Ripley which are to the Cameronians, I don't know if this helps......................I don't even know if I'm right ?? Dave. PS, I've written the text for 560, Griff has it right Dave |

I think Dave has nailed it.... the FFS Cap is Cameronians (That would explain the three holes on the side - The star with just the scroll under it )........ and then someone has put on the Officers KRRC cap badge.

Hi Bill, no it's officer quality but no label, just a name D.R.H.SHARMAN-maybe. Hard to read due to Brilcream residue. Mike

Wonder if he was a senior NCO in the Cameronians first then commisioned into the KRRC?
