Default Willowbank Red Cross Hospital Manchester

A friend of mine has this badge and would love to know more about it if anyone can help. Denis

Can't find details about the badge (Red Cross Museum has one) but here is some basic info about the hospital :

A book , "Great War Britain Manchester: Remembering 1914-18" By Andrew Simpson , contains a couple of pages about the hospital including a photo of patients in their 'hospital blues'.

180 East Lancashire.

Thats the 180th East Lancashire Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) that will have covered that area.
