Default Christian Chaplains badge, pre 1922

I bought this badge as a sweetheart, but it measures 32mm x 22 mm I wonder if the badge is full sized. I have read they came with various fittings si is this actually a cap badge. Cannot decide if it is silver or white metal, the latter I think. Is this a cap badge?
Cheers.
John

A cap badge in his pattern is 29 mm across, so yours may be a sweetheart or collar badge. But I must admit I have not seen a collar badge with such fitting.

Thanks both,
I think it will remain a possible collar or sweetheart. Still not sure if it is silver or white metal. Must get a silver test kit!

Thenks for the excellent pictures of Chaplain badge varieties. I have a full size white metal cap badge, and have also seen a hallmarked silver example.
