Unknown Parachutist Wings
These came from an old used 'odds and sods' box in a military tailors shop. They are on a thick grey felt cloth which I've not seen before. Can anyone ID their origin / regiment / dress etc please? Sean

Looks like a post WW2 British parachute wing.

Agreed. What has me stumped is who was it for? I cannot find reference to the Grey felt anywhere.

Sean, the grey felt is probably the khaki backing fading to a lighter colour. As this type of wing was designed for wear on the combat uniform, and not a dress uniform, I wouldn't spend much time researching wing backing colours.

Probably a colour change as a result of being laundered on a shirt washed in bio detergent.
