Received today variation marked slider to university of Sheffield otc
G.S.TYE &CO Birmingham I have a few a/a badges to this maker but not common a nice find Other a/a variations to university o t c in my album

Scarce maker David. Dont think many people will have a Tye marked Sheffield badge.
Didnt make very many badges at all. Edinburgh OTC (shield type) springs to mind.

Im still waiting to see an example of the Sheffield UTC badge in anodised. I did hear rumours that there was a Sheffield University OTC(worded like this on scroll) badge too but never seen any evidence to confirm this.

Nice find. The Edinburgh OTC is the only anodised badge I have with this maker.

What others do you have with this maker?

BESS short of time this week will have to look at all my boards as a/a are dispersed through out my collection will post at a later date I know that the home counties brigade is one I have a spare somewhere

Posted photo of Home Counties badge in gallery and otc album -the badges in the photo look worn but are mint/near mint as I only collect these

Youve suprised me there my old mate,id have thought youd have had a Tye East Anglian Bde probaly the most common of the four mentioned.
