Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps
The Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps cloth titles switched colours twice since WW2. The WW2 era titles were yellow / gold on blue. The post war titles were blue on yellow, changed back to yellow on blue with a black border in 1963. It appears that the second change was a correction of the colour scheme. Does anyone know why the titles were changed in the first place? Or, was it just an error?

HI Ray, As far as I have been able to determine, the fully spelled out ones are all post war. There was never a "The" in the embroidered titles.
You have raised another question about the different line breaks on the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and the same thing on the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. In each case the Army was moved from the second line to the first line. The title appears more balanced after the change. Those changes seem to have been made after the war. |
