Parachute regiment badge
Hello chaps,I'm just getting back into badge collecting again after a very long lay off and would like opinions on all the ones ive kept since i was a kid.Im no expert on these and sometimes struggle to tell the difference between ww1+2 badges and even harder with the immediate post war ones but anyway I digress so here's the first one which I hope is genuine ww2 parachute regiment.Ill post my other badges up as and when I can.

Not a fan after looking on the big screen, the inner wing feathers look very square rather than curved as I would expect.

Hello Deadeye
Middlesex Regt looks good, if you can put up pictures of the backs of the badges we can see if there's any dodgy loops-sliders or maker marks amongst them !! Gerard

The Norfolk is a common fake I'm afraid. However, it is a very common badge and you should be able to replace it with a nice example for around the £10 mark.

Thanks you guys and please forgive my just about zero knowledge!I could do with a new blokes guide of some sort!I'll post the badges one by one till I've done them all.I used to have box's full of British cap badges there must have been hundreds all bought from the local car boots for next to nothing then I sold them all in my youth, the ones I kept are the ones here plus my Sherwood Foresters collection. It seems these are an absolute minefield! Thanks again

Cheers Andy,Really stupid question but is there any dealers in particular that are better to buy from than others?I collect firearms, bayonets and their accoutrements mainly(another minefield) but I'm very comfortable in that field. I'm starting from scratch with cap badges.
