UNIDENTIFIED SAAF BADGE
Can anyone please identify this little devil for me? SAAF is a clue. Badge is 32 mm in diameter, reverse is unmarked and has a light pin fitting. Who, what and where? Apologies for the rubbish images.

SAAF squadron lapel badge c. WWII to 1950's. Unfortunately I cannot remember which squadron. If I find out I will let you know unless someone beats me to it.

Thank you Steven. I wonder if the dice at the top, 3 and 1 may indicate the squadron number; was it worn on uniform by service personnel or civilian clothes, or was it a type of sweetheart brooch? Questions, questions! Thanks again.

31 Squadron SAAF one of only two SAAF squadrons to fly heavy bombers. See here:
http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=24115 Took part in the Warsaw flights. Lost a lot of aircrew on these runs. Lots on the net about these guys. Brian |

31 SQUADRON SAAF BADGE
As I do not have any interest in collecting South African militaria, I have decided to place it on eBay and any collector can have a go if he/she wants it. The information contained in various posts on the internet is interesting. Thanks again both for pointing me in the right direction.
