Default Is this SAAF circa 1938 dress uniform

My previous email provided the information of my relative who served as a A/Mechanic at Zwartkop Airbase. Is the attached photograph that of the SAAF? I would appreciate all information.

Hi,
No, sorry not SAAF, but a Kimberley Regiment uniform pre WW1 - so c.1899 to 1914

Many thanks for your information. So now I'll have to identify who is this relative of mine!

Hi Charlotte,
I am sure you will be able to identify the person in the photograph. You know already that he would have been a resident of Kimberley pre WW1 and appears to be in his mid 20's, so would probably have been born anywhere between 1880 and 1890.

If you have done your family tree at any time, you may be able to identify him via that. My other main interest is genealogy, so if you need any assistance I am happy to help out where I can.

Regards
Steven

Many thanks Steve. Seems I have many relatives (ie ancestors) born or who resided in Kimberley. I will have to sift through all the names first and will definitely request your assistance if needed. I am still in the early stages of my family research.
