An average mixed unit group?
On the face of it this photo could be any one of hundreds of mixed unit instructor and or, course groups. So I had a look to see if there was anything unique about it like a scarce unit member, and I came across a familiar and quite well known face, Alfred Anderson (second row, third from left)
For me Alfred was better than finding any scarce unit. Billyh |

Two soldiers are wearing collar badges, the closeup of the Fusilier (NF or Munster) is sporting pioneer badges. Can we get a closer look at the other collar badge wearer fourth from right?

So far we have a W. Yorks, Huntingdonshire, RH, NF or Munster, not sure but looks like Yorkshire Hussars? and N. Staffs.
Look forward to the close ups of the others. CB

Ah, E. Riding Yeomanry with collar badges along with another Royal Highlander and several Royal Fusiliers. Also what appears to be a Yorkshire Dragoon.
I think it likely that the other Fusiliers are NF and not Munster. Hard to tell, but I think the one with the checkered tam is Scottish Horse. CB

There are numerous photos of the ERY badge with the scroll being worn pre-WW1. During WW1 it is relatively common, with both patterns worn.
