Hello Kingsley
Your top button is obviously naval and outside my area of interest but someone on here will know exactly what it is. Your second button is a livery button - as worn on the uniforms of some household staff of the nobility, landed gentry and so on. You might try searching this excellent site for an ID of the livery button but there are many thousands of different patterns, many of which remain unidentified. - https://sites.google.com/site/liverybuttonsidentified/ Roger |

Hi Kingsley and Roger,
The Top Button is described in an article by Denis Darmanin on Telegraph Company Buttons in Button Lines (#107 /page 22 ) as belonging to the "Pacific Cable Board". All the best Ian |

Many thanks to both of you. I had no idea there were so many livery buttons.
The lion button is for sale or exchange if anyone is interested. I collect Australian buttons only (military and civilian). |
