Default SAS chevrons

Good afternoon,

could you confirm that these Sergeant chevrons are from SAS ? I find the blue more grey than usual

Difficult to tell from the photo - may just have been washed or laundered. See:

Certainly washed as it was picked up on an uniform. It has still the blue sewing thread with it.

Washed? I'd be suspicious in that case. I never ever saw SAS members with those chevrons on anything other than No 2 dress - which is dry clean only. They wore eppaulette slides on wooly pullys.

There are some about (unwashed!) that appear more grey than blue. Compare these examples.

Theres nothing wrong with those greyer SAS stripes.
There was a time (think so still now) that they issued.
Ive some from source in my collection.
