City of London Yeomanry (Rough Riders) collar badges
Here comes a couple of collar badges to the City of London Yeomanry, aka as Rough Riders. I guess that the fact they're partly anodised aluminium indicates their post war vintage. The regiment as such as been amalgamated in 1961, any hints of their insignia having survived as battalion devices?

Are you sure they are AA and not bi-metal examples in mint condition?

They must be Bi metal, aluminium would not stand up to having lugs braized onto it?

Correct Andy!
What does puzzle me is that on my example the "RR" are in whitemetal and the spurs in brass. |

Rough Riders
Just looking at the loops on these badge tell me that they are too long for collar badges if they are original. If the spur is in white metal and the letters Gilding metal then they are Field service cap badges.
If one is spare, could I have first refusal? |

If that is true then this is a very collectable piece.

Some other RR odd pieces.....
Recently acquired: an NCO arm badge (motto?) compared to the collar/cap badge, and a couple of worsted cloth shoulder titles: presumable vintage?

Original WWII examples! Well done, it is hard to find a matching pair.

Are you sure it's an arm badge? I don't have KK in front of me but it may possibly be the Boer War period slouch hat badge.

arm badge
bought in the same lot as the cloth arm titles, and a sergeant pair of chevrons: the buyer stated that he had taken them from a much mothed BD... could a slouch hat badge have been used as an arm badge? I'm enclosing a pic stating that I've put to some good use one of my RR cap badges.... I've managed to find the correspondent coloured sidecap, complete with regimental buttons!

City of London Yeomanry
Here is a picture I have of an item described as an NCOs Arm Badge. However, I do not own the badge so cannot guarentee the description!

it would be interesting to see the obverse, but still looks like it were very, very similar to the one I own....
