I think that you may find that these are for a Corps RSM as the wreath isn't in blue, possibly the new FAD version? Not sure on the exact date but these started to appear around 2009.

Re Corps RSM's - On what uniform? certainly not for FAD, and all modern combat uniforms use the Central front rank slide
The Royal Arms in Wreath worn by ASM Sandhust & Corps RSM's differ in design and are normally contoured to shape like the WO1's badge. The new FAD versions of all badges are the same as the Kharki versions but in a differant shade of backing to match FAD uniform |

They were being worn with No2s/SD and CS95 when I left so I presume that there is a version for wear with the new pullover and No2s, albeit there aren't many CRSMs!

Currently the ADC can not agree to approve the various cloth badges produced for their consideration. Therefore the Corps Senior WO1's obtain their own badge of rank or is it appointment. When it was approved in 2005 it was stipulated that there would be no Corps distinction.
Two examples Corps of Royal Engineers and a generic version, both have been worn at some stage. Marc Last edited by 54Bty; 09-02-22 at 05:35 PM. |

The RCN and the RCAF elements of the Branch will never vote to reinstitute the appointment of Conductor in the LOG Br because they view this as an 'army appointment'. Attempts have been made, both when I was serving and after I retired to reinstate subj. It fell flat on it's face. I don't believe it will ever happen. Sad. Some would argue that the appointment of CCWO's fill this void but the appointment of Conductor rests with appointee for the rest of his/her career; unlike the CCWO appointent which lasts for only that posting. This appear to be NZ Army. The backing material looks consistant with the NZ Army Service Dress uniform.
The rank of conductor was made obsolete in the NZ Army in the mid 90s I believe. |
