Default Royal Corps Australian Infantry Cap Badge

Hi All,

Thoughts on this one please. Bought cheap, so not a problem. main concern is north/south lugs, most I've seen are east/west...

Cheers,

Mark

It looks ok. Probably just different manufacturers. Its a common badge so I doubt fakers would be interested in copying it.

A typical 53-60 period infantry corps badge.

They were still issuing these gilding metal badges on corps allocation at 1RTB during the mid-1970s. We didn't get RAR badges until the end of IET.

Looks ok to me.

This is still used, but generally only to reservists, or to lateral transfers to the Australian Army who go into staff or non Royal Australian Regiment postings, and who therefore do not get given the skippy badge.

Cheers

I have this one. Always thought it was ok because of the maker's mark. Looks like yours has a mark, the same one? Best regards, Mike

It's a good original badge.

You generally don't see copies of this badge as its quite common badge.
