Don’t rule out that this may have had more than one owner, so may have not Norfolk yeomanry all its life, the jacket could have been worn by two members of this family, or just about any one else.

I would like to give 2 possible reasons:
1. He was with the Norfolk Yeomanry, and perhaps finished his career on the General Service list, as he can't be traced later in his career. 2. Whoever sold the jacket knew it should have collar dogs fitted and just attached a pair they had. You see it quite often on head dress. Just some thoughts I had, sometimes the answer is the simplest option |
