Which Rifle volunteers???

Hey

I think I remember seeing someone say this was a rifle volunteer button ????

Can anyone remember or isnt it ? Not in the book I have which has rifle volunteer buttons 1859 to 1908 but it might be an old version, it has 'special number 1996' on it whatever that means?

Yes, 379 in Ripley, nice Officers buttons KRRC 1881-1902, also in KC and QC.
