Lincolnshire Volunteer Reserve Bn
Had no luck regarding comments of my School of Musketry badge, so will try this Linc's Volunteer one. It is WM plated brass, which is why I first thought it may be genuine but now have doubts. Any comments. If fake, has anyone got a genuine one to show me.
Thanks Myles DSCF4122.jpg DSCF4123.jpg |

Myles,
I wasnt 100% on the School of Musketry, the slider put me off but I cant make an opinion really. This one is easier, its a fake. Look at the footed lugs to the rear. regards

OK, for the record will call it a fake on this one but will still keep it. Would still like to know what a good one looks like.

VB Lincolns
I think the fakers went for the whole variety with Lincoln VB's 1st, 2nd and 3rd have been seen often on the same stall, where do they get them from . . !

Don’t like the footed loops and WM finish sorry Myles. I believe that my 2nd and 3rd VB Lincs are ok just not the 1st with smiling clown face

Sorry Dean but both your 2nd and 3rd are fakes from the same die as the one in the OP.
There are two types of fakes of these the Mr. Punch and the Johnny Cash look-alike just like the fake Louth OTC we discussed a while back. |
