Default Canadian Badge Index

The Canadian Badge Index is progressing nicely. The index can also be accessed by clicking on the link on the upper right corner of the forum page. Any Forum member is welcome to contribute images. Please scan or take images at 300 dpi or higher resolution.
The Index is intended to show all the Canadian army insignia worn during the 1920-1953 period, and uses the Mazeas catalogue for reference numbers. Lots of badges are up, and more needed. In addition to one image of each badge, variations and officer's patterns are welcome. Collar badges and metal shoulder titles plus all the issues of cloth shoulder titles are needed. If you have some, please scan and send the images to Mike or me.
Comments welcome.

Bill the project looks great so far. I will send some you the M 162 Irish Regiment Bagde, the M163 Irish Regiment of Canada Badge, and the M 163a badge. Note that the Pipers badge is an Officers Badge.

please, how large an image do you wish?

Default Cap badges....or are we including other things

Hi Bill,

Once the cap badges are done...will we have the option of being able to add collars/cloth/brass titles or is this strictly a cap badge index?

Dwayne

Morning all, Ray, 600 dpi is great. Dwayne, check out S4A Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. This will give you some idea of how the site will end up. Collars, metal shoulders, cloth shoulders, appropriate formation patches should eventually all be represented.

A great project, guys -- we Australians should do likewise. I'd love to contribute, but I wouldn't dare presume I have anything of the quality you're obviously looking for! All the best with it!

Smile Canadian Badge Index - Images

To all who may contribute images from you collection
If you are going to use a scanner - could you use a solid color background (maybe use the Styrofoam board that you get in Staples or similar shop). the lugs of the badge will go through no problem at all and the solid color (white hopefully) will make it easier to edit the image. If everyone submitts images with a white background we will get a coomon look and feel to all of the images
Thanks to Alll

Larry
