Default Brass Trade Insignia

Seeking information about various BRASS Trade Badges.
What dates / era were they worn?

My thought is that they were perhaps pre WW1 up to just after the war, but in reality I am sure someone with more experince will know for sure.

I too want to know more about this. No one so far seems to have any definitive anwers.
My own inadequate research suggests that they were worn up to the introduction of Battle Dress. I believe they were not authorized for BD.

I would have thought that the a/a badges took over from the brass ones, or rather those that weren't obsolete
