Phony 2Div officers
It has stitch holes, barely visible, it is safe to say that it has been removed from a uniform, though no "SAVVY" Cdn officer would have it in sight of senior officers,I should think hehehe! ouch!

Hello Sipke, Could you describe the blue found on your patch? Is it a really dark royal blue, or is it more medium blue?
The officers' CII patch was worn in both WW1 and WW2. There is a difference in the base colour of the patch. The CEF patch was a really dark shade of blue, and the WW2 patch more a medium blue. To confuse matters even more, some dark blue officers' patches were used early in WW2. Last edited by Bill A; 03-09-08 at 08:19 PM. |

Hi Sipke, That one looks good. That backing is also seen on other WW2 era Canadian cloth.

Hello Spike, There were no formation patches made in cavas with the CII. The 2 CID patch was made only in the plain blue canvas pattern.
