Cadet Band
This is Romsey Town centre,Remembrance Sunday 1978.Lord Mountbatten taking the salute.I thought the forum might be interested in the very Random way a Cadet detachment looked then. These Hussars Uniforms,[No idea were they came from]Is what we wore most of the times we did carnivals & Fetes etc.The buttons were blank brass & the date stamps inside I think from around the 1920s.The headress were made by local ladies. The solo drummer & trumpeter wore No1 dress tunics.A very strange combo being a Royal Hampshire Regiment badged detachment.

Weird, If they were badged as the local Yeomanry would have been Hampshire Carbineers
