Hi Brian
It does and it looks very nice. I'm very happy with it. Would like to know approximate date of issue. Regards Martyn |

Sounds pretty obvious, but I would say 1837 to 1901 is correct. Prior to this, (ie 1830 to 1837) the WBC for the RE was exactly the same but with the WR cypher, and after this (ie 1901 to 1910) the cypher was changed again to ER with a small VII under. Apart from the KC on the Edwardian badge, the design of the backplate and fittings was the same throughout. Regards Jeff Last edited by Jeff Mc William; 12-07-17 at 03:26 PM. |

Many thanks Jeff
It's a nice item I think. They really made neat items back then despite limitations in technology. Just wanted to check if there was a particular period of issue for the Victorian buckle but it obviously just carried on from previous reigns with minor changes. Regards Martyn |

Has someone reassembled it the wrong way round? Most buckles are fixed to the belt on the right and clip into the left.
