Default Dating Border Regt badges

Having trouble in giving a time-frame to Border Regt badges.

Does the layout of Battle Honours on the arms of the Cross control dating? For instance, taking the lower arm only:

A collar and hpc both have Lucknow - Sevastopol - Inkerman
KC Cap has Relief of Ladysmith - South Africa 1899-1902
Another collar has Nive - Nivelle - Orthes

Can anyone help out? And if there are other layouts can these be indicated?
Thanks
GTB

Thanks, Bob, at least that is a start. I have corroborated my hpc and collar are Victorian. What I don't know is if there were other Vic issues.

My others are definitely post-Vic considering the SA battle honours. Am I right in speculating that different arrangements are tied in with different dates?

The QVC and pre SA honours KC cap and collar had Lucknow, Sevastopol & Inkerman on the lower arm.
The post SA battle honours come in two versions (at least the cap badges, not sure about the collar) The OR's all have Relief of Ladysmith, South Africa & 1899 - 1902. Officers badges also come with Nive, Nivelle & Orthes on the lower arm.
The QC badges all have Nive, Nivelles & Orthes on the lower arm.

Rgds, Thomas.
