Black Watch Sports 1859
HERE is a little pretty I have had for many years. Don't know how it made it to CANADA but must assume it came over with the many new CANADIANS of the late Victorian era. The hall marks date it to 1859.

I think you might be mistaken about the date,that is a typical shooting prize from the 1920s-30s.It could be 1909 or 1934.See scan of spoon dated 1922. Ron. |

In this case the hall marks tell the story also the style of engraving is a clue to age.

THE crown in the centre annulus appears to be Victorian which would be correct why the EDWARD crown on top I do not know. I just re read the hall mark and it could very well be 1909 as it is not as deeply stamped as the others and hard to make out the shape of the box, so you may indeed be correct sir.
