Default New Zealand Service Dress Cap

Hi
Can anyone help identify the era of this cap, which is in remarkable condition. It has a high rigid crown supported by a metal spring at the front. The underside of the peak is lined with a similar cloth as the cap and there is a pair of metal vents holes on either side. The inside lining is a a silk type material and is stamped with the manufacturer's name, Hills Caps Ltd Wellington.

The cap badge is the NZ Rifle Brigade on a NZRB Brigade HQ colour patch.

Cheers

John

The company's still going by the look of it - might be worth giving them a call or sending an email with photos of the cap

The cap is post war circa 1960s.
Badge will be genuine but flash reproduction.
Overall a made up cap.

The Hill family sold their business in 1955, after which it became Hills Caps.

Hi

Any thoughts of the type of NZ badge that could have been worn on this type of cap?

Cheers

Any corps or regimental (except WRNZAC) badge could have been worn on the cap.
