Default Suffolk Regiment wm QVC

I have seen a Suffolk badge QVC in wm where the laurel leaves meet directly with the crown. There is no voiding twixt the leaves and crown. The badge looks good and the two lugs look right. Has any Forum member, please, have, or has seen, a similar QVC badge? I understand that examples of both the KC 1916 economy badge and the KC 4/5th TA badge exist in non-voided form. I would be most grateful for your comments please. Thank you.

Then from description alone I would not touch it.

I’ve never seen a genuine 1916 all GM issue Suffolk badge that is unvoided between the oak leaves and crown. Lack of voiding in this area so far I have only encountered on fakes.

There is a genuine Suffolk badge with a solid centre but is thought to date from WW2. Again the oak spray and crown have a void between them.

Many thanks Luke - you are a star. Now have a couple of pictures which, hopefully, I will upload.

Never seen one like that before but from what I can see for all the world it looks a period badge despite the lack of voiding.

I’d buy it and would not doubt its originality.

May I, please, say thank you for your time and opinion so readily and freely given. I have also heard from another experienced collector who wholly shares your view. The badge was part of some choice Suffolk items purchased by a friend. The difficult, next step is to negotiate a price.
