Default Cloth badge of 2503 Sqdr.R Aux AF Regt ???

The person I acquired this badge from said it was worn by members of 2503 Squadron but it doesn not look like anything I can imagine being worn by members of the RAF. I did find some info on the Squadron on Wikipedia ( attached )

I wondered if anyone had comes across examples of this badge before ?

Thanks in advance.

P.B.

( It is not a badge I would be keeping.)

The general design is as per some RAF Regiment insignia.

The Astral Crown and crossed rifles is the generic sign for the RAF Regiment as a whole and used as a black design on olive green patch for Regiment ‘gunners’ on MTP combat uniform for those not assigned to a specific squadron (who will have a squadron specific patch).

However, this squadron certainly previously wore a patch with the Lincoln ‘Imp’ imposed on the crown and rifles on their combat dress.

I think this could could a blazer badge?

Thanks Colin,

A blazer badge seems like a possibility.
