WRNS Trade Badges
May lists the Circle with G in centre as Steward (non-officers, so presumably 'G' means general) and Tailoress. There were no variations of this badge, i.e. no stars or crowns were ever worn with it. It was introduced in 1951 and still stated to be in use in 1974 when his book was published. I know it is not in use anymore but I can't be specific as to when it went out of use.
OC does stand for Officers Cook. This was in use from 1942-68. It is only a lighter shade of blue because it has faded more. Wrens badges were notorious for this. Pete |

Thanks for the information Pete.
I have the blue on blue and blue on white versions of the badge. Both are now in the swaps bin. Barry |
