Hi Bill, since no on has tried, here's my ideas. The officer on the right is most probably a Canloan officer attached to one of the many battalions of the Parachute Regiment,either 1st or 6th AB. There was 8 in the 1st (2 KIA) and 5 in the 6th (no KIA)
As for the R22R officer, according to some documents that I have seen in the past, it should be Lt. Pierre Chasse, of the SOE (not quite sure on this one).He will become the CO of the 1st Bn. R22R in the early 60s.
