WW1 Rising Sun Hat Badge/Unofficial, Trench Art

Hello, I have this WW1 Rising sun hat badge, I've tried researching this badge and I have been told it is probably trench art That has been made by a soldier. Does anyone have any information or views on this badge and is it valuable and collectible...any information much appreciated...Thankyou?
