Yet another made up badge from the ‘Ron collection’.

This is the third thread running on his fantastical tat in as many days. Hope it ends soon...

If I’m not mistaken this one is made from a Canadian Arty and crown from a fake QVC Royal Irish Regiment badge.

Wow! Got to bid on that! Must be a sure footed gunner! Did you notice the size of his feet? (On the lugs!). Could we ask the seller for some close-ups? Maybe those tiny marks he mentions are “Awl Marks”, like wot I used ter see on the pocket watches down Petticoat Lane! Right Luke?........ Regards, D.J.

Hi David,

I think the feet on those lugs are genuine Canadian and appear on earlier CEF period Canadian Artillery badges with CANADA scroll as well.

Happy to be advised otherwise.

Keith,

I agree they can be found on pre 1927 CANADA scroll badges and also UBIQUE scroll post 1927 badge also. So probably and original RCA cap badge which as Luke says has had its KC removed and a QVC crown added from a fake badge.

Just to clarify for those who may not know - a QVC crown Artillery cap badge was NEVER manufactured and should not exist.

regards
