Default Royal West Kent Regiment in silver. Any ideas

I picked this one up on ebay this week for very little. I'm happy enough that it is silver. I'm just not sure whether it is a cap , beret or collar badge. Maybe even a sweetheart brooch. It will be making it's way to Tamworth for repairs very shortly, but only after I know what fastenings it should have. It is 31mm tall and scroll end to end is 35mm. It is clearly marked sterling. Not sure what the other mark to the left of the loop is.
Has anyone got anything similar for comparison?

John

John, it is without doubt a sweetheart's brooch. The mark on the left will be the maker. If you can read the initials, there's a good chance they can be identified. J

Here is this little beauty following it's safe return from Tamworth badge hospital. Well worth what I paid for it, and well worth the superb repair. Dave, you're not half bad as a silversmith too! A credit to the West Midlands engineering traditions!
