Default Royal Engineers sweetheart ?

Hi all,

Below is a tidy two-piece badge to the Royal Engineers measuring 35x39mm on two screw threads east-west. Central bomb with UBIQUE scroll in GM set on a laurel wreath in WM.

Any ideas - pouch badge or sweetheart but thought this unlikely with screw thread attachments.

Your thoughts ?

Regards Dean.

Hi Dean

According to Owen "Military Badges of Southern Africa" this is a South African Engineers cap badge 1940-70.

Best

Graham

Not sure where Owen got his dates from, but that is a post 1970's South African Engineer Corps beret badge, and if I am not mistaken is still currently worn.
