I think it looks ok.
There are lots of fakes of this badge however. Mick

Hi Mick,
Thanks for taking the time to post. I know that this is one of the ones to be weary of and that's why I posted it. There were Nth/Sth lugs on it which have been replaced with a old slider mounted in a blob of lead. It's comming with no stories or sales pitches. I know very little about the badge. So I'm looking for advice here too! Are they a sought after badge? How common are they? It has a good feel to it and looks good, but I know that really counts for nothing, because the reproer has gotten that good! Regards, Dave |

Any Light Horse badge these days seems to be sought after!
They were made in Egypt and in the UK and whilst getting harder to find are still reasonably common compared to other Light Horse unofficial badges. Mick

G'day Dave
I will suppot Mick on this one, whilst all early Light Horse badges are hard to come by this one does turn up and lets say its the easiest of the hard badges to get. I cant comment on the actual badge sorry. Mine has 2 lugs N - S, I am told that it is a good one by an old dealer who l probably got it off in the 70's. Cheers Phil. |

Thanks Mike and Phil, it came with some other Australian badges which I just picked up. I'll post the others in the next day or so. None of the others are WW1.
