Cape Coloured Labour Regiment

Acquired a badge to the Cape Coloured Labour Regiment. On the internet I could only find the Cape CORPS Labour BATTALION..are they one and the same.
Would appreciate any information about this unit and where it served etc..

I have a few African Colonial Police badges and thought this would be a good addition if a little away from my main theme..I doubt if the labour battalions anywhere got their due in terms of appreciation/glory etc...
