Is this badge a copy or the real thing?

It is looking for a new home if it is OK.

The badge is definitely a copy, but is it a wartime copy, post WW1 copy or modern fake is the real question.
The back photo does not give the best view of the lugs, but they appear to be copper and integrally cast into the badge which suggests it could well be a wartime copy or a post WW1 copy.
