Default 1904 badge mystery

I have been clearing out some belongings from my late uncle and came across a badge (possibly lapel) and wondered if anyone might be able to shed some light on it.

It has the words Welbeck Abbey, the initials GRL and the date 1904 on the front. The badge is 5cm at its highest and 5cm at its widest. It has a crown on the top and looks like it is covered in gold leaf thread. On the reverse it gives the name of George Kenning & Son, Little Britain, London.

I have contacted both Welbeck Abbey, North Nottinghamshire, and the regional Freemasonry secretary as the abbey had its own lodge, but neither have been able to help.

Hope someone can help with this. I have photographs of the badge to help with identification.

Thanks in advance.
